We are pleased to share a few words about ourselves and the path that led us to teaching English.

​

We are teachers who combine life and work between Poland and the United Kingdom. For many years, we have operated in an English-speaking environment—working, conversing, and living in English every day. This allows us to impart a genuine, natural, and contemporary language to our students.

​

For us, language is not just a tool for communication. It is also the culture, way of thinking, sense of humur, and everyday habits of the people who speak it.

​

Our Roots and Inspirations:

We hail from Somerset—one of the most picturesque regions of southwest England. It's a place where tradition meets nature, and the relaxed pace of life allows us to truly appreciate the local culture.

​

Somerset is a land of green hills, historic towns, and rural landscapes that have remained virtually unchanged for generations. The region is renowned for its apple orchards, cider production, and a strong commitment to local traditions. It was there that we learned the importance of natural communication, courtesy, and ease in conversation.

​

Growing up in such a place gives us a special sensitivity to language—it teaches us to listen, understand context, and appreciate subtleties in the way we speak.

​

A world-renowned place.

The town of Cheddar is particularly dear to us. Although small, it has become globally recognized thanks to its tradition of cheddar cheese production.

​

It's an example of how local history can become part of world heritage. It also demonstrates how much the British value quality, tradition, and craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation.

​

Natural beauty and history.

One of the most impressive places in the area is Cheddar Gorge—a spectacular limestone valley with high cliffs and expansive views. It's a place where nature and history create a unique space, inspiring generations of residents and visitors.

Such places teach respect for tradition, patience, and harmony—values ​​we strive to incorporate into our work with students.

Landscapes that Shape Sensitivity. Also close to our hearts are the Quantock Hills—England's oldest protected landscape area. Gentle hills, heathland, and sea views create a space of peace and harmony. It's a place conducive to reflection and mindfulness—values ​​that are also particularly relevant in education.

What are the Seven Sisters?

They are a distinctive group of ancient beech trees growing on a ridge. The trees stand close together and are visible from afar, making them a local landmark and a popular walking area.

​

Why are they special?

• They are several hundred years old,

• They stand in a picturesque location overlooking the hills and sea,

• They are often photographed at sunrise and sunset,

• They lie on popular walking routes,

• This is one of the places in the Quantocks that showcases the peaceful, natural beauty of Somerset.

 

It's impossible not to mention Exmoor National Park—a land of wilderness, vast moorland, and historic paths. Exmoor is renowned for its natural beauty, starry skies, and a sense of space that allows one to truly breathe.

Such places teach patience, peace, and respect for one's surroundings—qualities we strive to incorporate into our work with students.

 

Our Approach to Learning

In lessons, we strive to convey more than just textbook material. We share experiences of life in the UK, natural everyday expressions, and the real context of the language.

​

We show students that language is a living skill—used for conversation, travel, and learning about people and the world.

 

We want our students to:

• feel comfortable communicating

• understand natural spoken language

• learn about the culture of English-speaking countries

• build confidence in using language

 

Because true language learning begins when it ceases to be a school subject and becomes a tool for exploring the world. Because language is not just a skill.
